OT Services

Case Management

  • Provided for clients involved in motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries or other complex injuries involving physical and/or emotional impairments
  • Initially, an Occupational Therapist conducts a detailed assessment of the client’s functional status, including the physical environment, to provide a summary of individualized rehabilitation needs
  • The Occupational Therapist will then coordinate appropriate services, assistive technologies and liase with rehabilitation providers to address identified rehabilitation goals
  • A Community Support Worker and/or an Exercise Therapist will provide supportive services to assist the client in achieving therapeutic goals
  • The Occupational Therapist will conduct regular reviews to adapt and modify the client’s rehabilitation program to ensure timely results

Brain Injury Rehabilitation

  • Provided for clients who have sustained a traumatic or acquired brain injury
  • An Occupational Therapist conducts a detailed assessment of the clients functional status as well as cognitive, behavioural and emotional status
  • An individualized rehabilitation program is identified that meets the clients needs and utilizes local-based resources wherever possible
  • A Community Support Worker is utilitzed to deliver rehabilitation services in the client’s home and community

Workplace Evaluation

  • Provided for clients who require a thorough review of their work environments to address physical, functional and cognitive impairments
  • An Occupational Therapist meets the client in the workplace to assess and determine specific interventions to facilitate the return to work process
